Investing $48M in Asheville manufacturing

In 2026, GE Aerospace plans to invest another $1B to deliver for our customers, scale production of more durable parts, and support military missions – all with safety and quality at the center. In Asheville, we’re investing $48 million to increase advanced manufacturing capabilities by adding precision grinding and machining equipment, inspection technology, specialized tooling, and building improvements.

Our Asheville campus is the career home for people who share a commitment to learning, achievement,  and collaboration. Our campus includes a facility for production of highly complex rotating parts engineered for commercial and military aircraft engines. In addition, our Ceramic Matrix Composites facility produces high-tech, more efficient components to power the worlds aircraft engines of tomorrow. With a product mix including shafts, seals, retainers, and discs, we’re bringing quality to enhance commercial, military, marine, and industrial engine performance.
