Regulations of the "Wings of Innovation" Competition for Student Research Clubs
§1. Competition organizer
The competition is organized by GE Aerospace Poland sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Warsaw, address: Al. Krakowska 110/114, 02-256 Warsaw, entered into the register of entrepreneurs of the National Court Register kept by the District Court for the capital city of Warsaw in Warsaw, XIV Commercial Division of the National Court Register, under KRS 0000073794, with a share capital of PLN 18,919,500.00, NIP 526-10-30-824, REGON 011165913, hereinafter referred to as the "Organizer".
§2. Aim of the competition
1. The aim of the competition is:
a) promotion and support for the development of young engineers,
b) popularization of engineering professions among young people,
c) identification of innovative projects and activities,
d) presentation of the achievements of scientific circles of technical universities in Poland,
e) familiarizing young engineers with the activities and values important to the Organizer,
f) promotion of engineering activities through information and image activities of the Organizer.
§3. Contest participants
The competition is open to scientific clubs operating at public and non-public technical universities in Poland, with a profile of activity in Aerospace.
§4. Rules of participation
1. In order to take part in the competition, the student research club must have by 30 September 2025. prepare and send a promotional video presenting the activities and achievements of the Student Research Club.
1. Presentation of the club and its business profile,
2. Presentation of one project from the club's portfolio, which is the most representative in terms of innovation and scientific value (project implemented in the last 3 years),
3. Presentation of how the activities of the science club fit into the policy of GE Aerospce The Spirit & The Letter.
§5. Evaluation criteria
1. The films will be judged by the Jury appointed by the Organizer. The following will be taken into account:
a) Project innovation – Assessment of the level of innovative technological and scientific solutions and their potential to change or improve existing processes.
b) Technical application – Analysis of the possibility of practical implementation of the project in the aerospace industry or related fields.
c) Scientific value – Assessment of the substantive quality of the project and its contribution to the development of knowledge in a given field.
d) Compliance with GE Aerospace's "The Spirit & The Letter" policy – To verify that the science club's activities and design align with GE Aerospace's values of ethics, innovation, social responsibility and sustainability.
e) Presentation of the scientific club – Evaluation of the effectiveness of presenting the profile of the club's activities, its goals and achievements.
f) Ongoing project - Verification of whether the project has been completed within the required period and responds to contemporary technological challenges.
g) Impact on the development of the aviation industry – Analysis of the project's potential to support innovation and development in the aviation sector.
h) Quality of the film – Checking compliance with technical requirements (format, length, orientation, subtitles) as well as aesthetics and legibility of the material.
i) Creativity in presentation – Evaluation of the ingenuity and visual attractiveness of the film.
§6. The course of the competition
1. Until 15 October 2025. The jury will evaluate the submitted films.
2. Based on the Jury's assessment, the finalists with the highest number of points will be selected from among all the applications that meet the requirements set out in these regulations.
3. From among the selected finalists, the winner of the competition will be announced during the final gala.
4. The final gala will take place in Warsaw on a later date. Scientific clubs that have qualified for the finals of the competition will receive an invitation to the final gala by e-mail by October 15, 2025.
5. During the gala, the main prize will be awarded to the club that received the highest number of points and a distinction to the scientific club that received the second result in the Jury's votes.
§6. Awards
1. Jury will award:
a) I place – PLN 30000 gross,
b) Honorable mention – PLN 5,000 gross.
2. The prizes will be transferred to the account of the research club or university, in accordance with the applicable financial regulations, on the basis of a sponsorship agreement.
§7. Copyright and fields of exploitation
1. By submitting a film to the competition, the participant declares that he or she has full copyrights to the submitted material and that the film does not infringe the rights of third parties.
2. By submitting the competition film, the Participants transfer to the Organizer free of charge the economic copyrights to the film without time and territorial limitations, in the scope of all fields of exploitation known at the time of concluding the agreement.
3. The transfer of rights takes place in the following fields of exploitation, in particular:
a) fixation and reproduction in any form, technique and on any medium, including digital and analogue;
b) marketing, lending or renting the original or copies;
c) public performance, display, exhibition and broadcasting (also via the Internet and other digital networks);
d) Sharing in a way that anyone can access the video at a time and place of their choosing.
e) use for promotional, educational, informational and marketing purposes, both in internal and external communication of the Organizer;
f) combining the film with other materials (e.g. graphics, subtitles, translations), making its shortening, fragmentation, editing and adaptation;
g) creating studies (including translations, modifications, compilations), while maintaining the author's personal rights.
4. The participant also agrees to the use of their image and voice recorded in the film, to the extent necessary to implement the above-mentioned fields of exploitation.
5. The Organizer also acquires the right to grant further licenses and sublicenses in the scope of acquired economic rights.
6. The participant undertakes not to make claims for the use of the film in accordance with these terms and conditions.
7. In the event of claims by third parties regarding copyright or image infringement, the entrant submitting the video is fully responsible.
§8. Personal data and image protection
1. The administrator of the participants' personal data is GE Aerospace Poland sp. z o.o., with its registered office in Warsaw, address: Al. Krakowska 110/114, 02-256 Warsaw.
2. Personal data will be processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) (consent) and (f) (legitimate interest of the controller) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR).
3. The data will be processed only for the purpose of conducting the competition, communicating with the participants, selecting the winners, awarding prizes and publishing the competition materials.
4. By submitting your application, you agree to record and use the image of the participants recorded in the videos – in the Organizer's promotional materials.
5. Participants have the right to access their data, correct it, limit its processing and request its deletion.
§9. Image and promotional cooperation
1. The winner of the competition has the right to use the title "Winner of the GE Aerospace – Wings of Innovation 2025 competition" in their promotional activities.
2. The winner may use the awarded title on their website and in information materials, in accordance with the guidelines provided by the Organizer.
§10. Final provisions
1. Any questions should be directed to: spark.edc@geaerospace.com.
2. The Organizer reserves the right to change these regulations for important reasons.
3. Participation in the competition is tantamount to acceptance of all conditions specified in the regulations.
