Areas of Interest
We have a wide range of 10-12 week opportunities in multiple areas. Applications typically open in August for both January Co-Op and May/June Intern starts, and in January for September Co-Op starts.
Below are examples of areas that you may be assigned.

Artificial Intelligence interns help GE Aerospace unlock new possibilities through the bridge of data, tools, and emerging technologies. AI interns will work on cloud platforms, databases, data engineering, web design, AI technologies, and numerical methods to solve engineering solutions. Through hands-on projects, interns will work with the Innovator Method, Game Theory, and DecisionIQ to turn customer insights into impactful solutions, bring real business value, and help shape the future of aerospace design.

Experience an Internship or Co-op that is customer-facing.  Our Interns/Co-ops work within our sales, commercial operations, marketing, or communications divisions

As a Digital Technology Intern/Co-op you’ll help develop digital products and services that enhance our operational effectiveness and create lasting value for employees and customers across the globe. Assignments may include: Technical Product Management, Software Development, Cyber Security, Data Analytics, Data Science, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Agile Methodologies, UX and more. Digital Technology Interns also have significant exposure to key IT and software business leaders, as well as a global internship support network.

Majors Accepted: Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experience.

Locations: Evendale, OH; Livonia, MI; Atlanta, GA 

Engineering opportunities exist for students with a passion for advanced aerospace technology.  An engineering Intern/Co-op can work in design & analysis, testing, materials, and engineering systems. Our Engines and Edison Works division provide engineering opportunities on our commercial and military engines, and our Aviation Systems division provides engineering opportunities on our avionics hardware, as well as opportunities for embedded coding.

Finance Interns/Co-ops improve their finance, accounting, business, soft skills, and leadership development through project-based assignments that focus on top Aviation finance initiatives.  Interns/Co-ops can have assignments in our Commercial, FP&A, Supply Chain, Digital, and Controllership spaces.

Majors Accepted: Finance, Accounting, Economics, Data or business Analytics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Mathematics or related business major

Locations: Evendale, OH

As a Human Resources Intern you’ll shape the employee experience, develop talent, and become an operational partner for our business. Interns focus on specific areas such as HR generalists, employee relations, union relations, organization & talent development, learning & development, compensation & benefits or people analytics.

Majors Accepted: Enrolled in a master’s degree focusing on business or human resources disciplines (e.g., industrial & labor relations, industrial & organizational psychology, organizational behavior, finance, law)  

Locations: Evendale, OH

Typically our Interns/Co-ops are either law clerks or paralegals, although other opportunities may exist.  The law clerks work closely with legal and business professionals to deliver legal services to the business; and the paralegals will work closely with the litigation team in managing commercial disputes and regulatory matters.

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you’ll build a strong technical foundation in manufacturing and assembly processes. This may include key manufacturing, new product integration, new technology integration, continuous improvement, and cost out.

Locations: 45+ GE Aerospace sites across the U.S.

As a Supply Chain Operations Intern, you’ll have responsibilities for key elements in supply chain-related daily operations. This may include materials management (forecasting, planning, fulfillment, logistics, and distribution) and sourcing (strategic commodity management, contract structuring, negotiation, supplier management).

Majors Accepted: Computer Engineering, Business Administration with Operations or Supply Chain focus, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Logistics Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science/Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management
