At GE Aerospace, we have a wide range of established Apprentice programmes for Advanced Manufacturing, Supply Chain Business Degree, Business, Engineering, and Engineering Degree across our UK sites that we recruit for each year. Vacancies typically open in the Autumn for the following Summer/Autumn.

GE Aerospace Wales, located near Cardiff, specializes in the testing, maintenance, repair, and overhaul of commercial jet engines, including the GE90-115B, GE9X, and CFM56. With over 75 years of operation, it is one of the largest engine maintenance facilities globally, serving over 90 customers and fostering future talent through robust training programs.
Business Apprenticeship
What you will be doing: As a Business Apprentice, you’ll rotate through several departments, gaining exposure to a variety of business functions and processes. This program is designed to help you develop the skills and experiences you need to thrive in a dynamic business environment.

Engineering Apprenticeship
What you will be doing: Over a three year duration you will rotate through the repair, overhaul, and test areas of our business, incorporating Lean methodology in everything you do. Completing a Level 3 NVQ with work-based learning and assessment.

Supply Chain Apprenticeship
What you will be doing: Run in partnership with Coleg y Cymoedd, the Supply Chain Apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in purchasing policies, vendor management, and supply chain processes. This program combines academic learning with practical experience to prepare you for a career in supply chain management within a global aviation company.

Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship
What you will be doing: The Advanced Manufacturing Apprenticeship is a three-year program where you'll gain hands-on experience and specialized skills. Year 1 focuses on full-time college study, Year 2 includes factory rotations, and Year 3 transitions you into a more permanent role within your chosen specialty, and preparing you for a career in aerospace!

What you will be doing: The Manufacturing Engineer Degree Apprenticeship offers a series of cross-functional job rotations in production, quality, design, materials & processes, tool design, and Non-Destructive Testing. These rotations provide a broad understanding of the key success factors for becoming a skilled manufacturing engineer.

What you will be doing: The Environmental Health & Safety Apprenticeship combines technical skills with practical experience, supported by a team of experienced EHS professionals. What you will be doing: This Engineering Modern Apprenticeship offers rotations through various engineering roles, including overhaul mechanic, maintenance fitter, electrician, machinist, and welder, to support the GEnx engine overhaul process. You’ll gain hands-on experience while building your knowledge of parts, processes, and business operations.
