In the 12-month Business Operations (Project Management) Placement, dependant on which Operations Team you work in, you will gain exposure to the complete programme and product lifecycle from NPI to repair and overhaul services, Site Operational Facilities and Business Management Information to include developing, analysing and reporting data

In the 12-month Commercial Business Operations Management Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in supporting and developing the processes and systems that keep our business operations teams at the cutting edge.

In the 12-month Cyber Security Placement, you will be placed within the UK Cyber Security team and assist with protecting the Aviation Systems UK business from advanced Cyber threats.

A Data Analyst placement student could expect to use their problem-solving skills and statistical knowledge to support business objectives, spot trends and identify problems. Alongside this, placement students will assist in the development, testing and deployment of analytical dashboards, tools and reports, and supporting the team with everyday tasks and presentations. 

In the 12-month Electrical & Electronic Engineering Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of electrical and electronic engineering, including customer engagement, requirements analysis, supporting with the design of machines and generators for multiple markets, defining a test specification, performing software product configuration and systems/customer acceptance testing, delivering training and consultancy services and getting involved in project work.   

In the 12-month Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience, providing support to all areas of the site including office functions, operations and engineering, and promoting and implementing EHS policies and procedures internally and externally to maintain EHS regulations/legislations.

Over your 12-month Placement you'll work in a Finance business environment gaining invaluable skills and experience. The opportunities available will cover all areas of finance from financial planning and analysis to order execution.

HR placement students could work withing Recruitment, Early Careers or Generalist HR. Dependant on what team they join, the placement could include supporting with performance reviews, absent management disciplinary and grievance meetings, helping to implement HR policies and procedures and working on various simplification projects.  It could also be supporting GE Aerospace find great talent! 

An Information Technology placement student could get involved in project management, business intelligence/reporting, IT infrastructure to implementation activities and IT compliance. Technical responsibilities could include application/web development, security/controllership, defining business requirements for a new tool, supporting the implementation of a new system and providing technical support/engaging with end users.

During the placement year you could cover all aspects of legal and compliance, from intellectual property (IP) protection to corporate governance and compliance. Other responsibilities involve looking at third party agreements, mergers and acquisitions, regulatory and compliance, trade controls, monitoring changes in law and its impact on the business and providing general legal support.

During a Logistics and Supply Chain Management placement, students could have the opportunity to liaise with suppliers, engage in order management, assist with tender proposals and reviews, and be involved in customer negotiations, cost and inventory reduction activities or logistics support.

In the 12-month Manufacturing Engineering Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience covering all aspects of manufacturing engineering from production to Lean Six Sigma through research and development.

In the 12-month Materials Planner Placement, your team are responsible for accurate & efficient material throughput in support of the manufacturing cells, engineering & our external customers in both the civil & military markets. 

In the 12-month Process Improvement Placement, you'll work with Lean department and local teams to develop, define and identify performance improvement for the customer & Aircraft Engineers in localised areas of the business.

Product Quality placement students could be involved in supporting investigations, auditing products, checking defaults, reviewing quality of materials used in production, analysing key data and assisting with the rollout of a new process.

In the 12-month Programme Management Placement, the successful candidate will join our Customer Programmes team which supports civil and military customers of our propeller systems for airborne and amphibious applications. Working closely with Senior Product Managers and Programme Managers, you will gain exposure to the complete programme and product lifecycle from NPI to repair and overhaul services

In the 12-month Research & Development (R&D) Placement, you will work on R&D projects with multi-disciplinary and international teams. This is a Research Engineering role where you'll develop the next generation of projects.

In the 12-month Software Engineering Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of software engineering from software design and integration to testing.

In the 12-month Systems Engineering Placement, you'll gain invaluable skills and experience in covering all aspects of systems engineering from requirements capturing, system design and verification
